Kryolan TV Paint Stick and Other Products.

Kryolan TV Paint Sticks have been hugely famous in lots of parts of the world especially Asia. Kryolan makes Professional and theatrical Make-up and the company is based in Germany. The TV paint sticks come in more than 120 shades. The texture is very smooth which allows gentle make-up application that provides effective covering at the same time. It provides full coverage, the formulation is quite dense so if u apply just a little quantity perhaps it will give u medium coverage.

They are being used as a foundation by many beauticians for bridal makeup, reason being that they give such wonderful coverage and they are just perfect for photography and video making.

I have been using TV paint stick as my foundation for a long time because I like the finish it gives to my skin and as my skin type is a combination skin it doesn't let it become oily at all.

If you have an oily or combination skin this product is perfect for u but if u have a dry skin type then I wudnt suggest u go for this one. I have heard people complaining that its really difficult to work in the TV paint stick, that it get too dry or blotchy. Well the proper way to apply this foundation is to first moisturize ur face really well and wait for 5 mins. If u have combination to dry skin or u have uneven skin problem then do apply a good face primer all over ur face and the dry patches, then with a damp synthetic sponge wedge apply the foundation and blend well to prevent streaking.

The primer I am currently using is the L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional smoothing resurfacing primer. Its a mousse like formulation and when applied it gives a very silky feel to the skin and allows a very smooth foundation application as it fills in the rough or dry patches on the skin.

I use the Kryolan Translucent powder to set my foundation in places my face gets oil...its a very finely milled powder with great absorbency power and its translucent so I wudn't have to worry about matching it with my foundation. It has a very light talc smell, which in not bad at all. The only problem I have with it is the packaging. Even though I like the fact that they made tiny holes in the inner lid for easy dispense of the powder but I wud have really liked something to close them up after every use, something better than just a sticker seal...which doest work really well after the powder has come out and stuck to it and the powder is every where...taking this along while traveling would be a very bad idea :(

Other Kryolan products I have used are the Aquacolors.....even thought some retailers in Pakistan sell them as an eyeliner...well its not actually...it is used for theatrical makeup for face and body. And can be applied with damp sponge or brush.
Well I use them as an eyeliner! cuz they are totally smudge proof once set but they can still be buffed with a finger. I also use them as eyeshadow base especially the black for dramatic smokey eye looks but the eyeshadow will only stick to them when they are still very slightly damp.

If you are just using it as an eyeliner it will last for years....I bought my black Aqua color pot almost 4 years ago and i havnt even made a dent in it :D

In Pakistan Kryolan TV Paint Sticks are available at any good makeup or drug store for the price around Rs.780, while in the UK I dont know any store which carries Kryolan cosmetics so i guess u'll have to order online where the prices are around £9.80.

The online price for the Kryolan Translucent powder is £10.34 for 60ml and in Pakistan I got it for Rs.990 2 years ago, it might be more or less these days.

The online price for a single Aquacolor is more or less £6 and from Pakistan I got it for Rs.360.

I bought the L'Oreal face primer for about £14.29 at Superdrug.
